Brody's 3rd birthday!!

I can't believe my baby is 3 already!!

We had his birthday at Chuck E. Cheese this year! It was awesome!! The host was so nice. She gave all the adults free drinks and gave us extra tickets. I would recommend anyone to have a birthday there. The first thing we did was have the kids play.

Then after that we ate pizza and ice cream and let the kids play up front waiting for Chuck E.

Then Chuck E. came out!

He even went in the ticket blaster with daddy and won over 1500 tickets

All the kids had fun. Even Brody had a blast. I am so glad that we did this because it was an EXCELLENT party. All that came was Nana Heckert and Uncle Justin, Nana and Papa, Jordan and her family, Johanna and her family, My friend Amber and her family, Our cousin Stephanie and her family, Trena and her family, Me and Chris of course and Rocky. Brody got lots of great gifts and he was so thrilled that we went to Chuck E. Cheese for his birthday. It was so worth it! Thanks everyone for coming!!

All of his gifts!

Happy Halloween!!

We didn't mean to celebrate Halloween all weekend but it just happened that way.

First we went to the carnival at my old junior high Central Davis Junior High. The boys always have fun there playing the games and everything. Then on Saturday we went to the Nursing home like we do every year. We love going there and the old folks love seeing the boys in their costumes. I didn't get any pictures there though.

Then on Monday we of course went Trick or Treating. We first when to Chris' parents and the boys got spoiled. And then we went to the mall like every year and then after that me and Rocky went to several houses. We really didn't want to go door to door since they already had so much candy but we didn't want to disappoint Rocky because he wanted to go door to door so bad. Brody unfortunately had a little running nose so Chris decided to stay home with him while me and Rocky went out. We always love Halloween and dressing up and celebrating it together!

Happy Birthday to me!!

Today is my 27th birthday! It was a great day!! My dad was able to come down and spend mine and Johanna's birthday together. Even though me and my sister's birthday is a week apart we have always spent it together as long as I could remember.
First we went to the corn maze and had lots of fun.
First we did all the activities that they had to offer, we just wanted to get all the kids' energy out before we went into the corn maze. Then we went to Famous Daves after the corn maze and had a great dinner. Me and the boys have never been there so it was first time we ever ate there and we were not disappointed. We also opened our presents there while we were waiting for our food. It was a great time with the whole family, I couldn't ask for a better day.
My presents! I saw this clock in Vegas and wanted it and now I have it. I love Betty Boop!!

Our first family vacation in Vegas/Mesquite Sept 16-18

We had a chance to take a vacation to Mesquite. Chris' aunt Elise was getting married there so we decided to make two trips out of it because my dad lives in Vegas. So we stayed at his house and traveled to Mesquite for the wedding. All the family was there so it was great to see everyone. I am glad that we had the chance to go. I think we deserved it.

The first night there we went in the hot tub at my dad's apartments. Brody loved it! It was his first time in a hot tub. At first he was kinda hesitating to get in but once he got in he loved it. The rest of the time he kept asking to go in the bubbles.

Us with my dad
The next day we went to the strip in Vegas. We had so much fun! Went to a bunch of stores and took a lot of pictures with people in costumes. After the strip we went to Pop's home of the best philly cheesesteak ever! It was so yummy. And then after the wedding we did a little bit of gambling. I won 10 dollars, my brother won 20 and my dad won 176. He won at the same table he always wins at. I don't know how it wins that much but I would love to win a lot. But winning something is better than nothing.

Congrats Elise and Randy
That night we went to Elise and Randy's wedding. She looked beautiful. The whole family was there! It was good to see everyone. The boys were so good there and had so much. Then we went home on Sunday. But before we went home we went out to breakfast before we headed out. I wished we could of stayed longer. Speaking of the boys they were so good the whole trip. They really enjoyed themselves. I have to say it was a really prefect first family vacation. Brody did so well on his potty training. He is getting so closed to be being fully potty trained. I am so proud of him!! It seemed like every since we moved into our apartments and Chris got that job it seemed like we have been doing a lot better. I don't think we would of have the opportunity to go if we were in a different situation. I am so blessed to be where we are at in life!! Thanks Elise for inviting us to your wedding we had so much! And thanks Dad for welcoming us into your home!!

Finally Mrs and Mr Justin Romero

My sister Johanna finally got married to her man that she has been with ever since she was 13. I am so happy for them! They got married at The Learning Garden Center in Layton. If you don't know where that is at its on S.R. 193 right before you get to Highway 89. It was really pretty with flowers everywhere. It was a perfect small wedding with just the immediate family.

Johanna's family with all of their kids

The Romero Family. Justin with his sisters and their families.

When we first got there I had to set up the tables and everything. And then we went down to where the wedding ceremony was going to be at and then after that we took a bunch of pictures. I think she will have plenty of pictures because a lot of people took a lot. And then after that we had a reception with sandwiches, chips and of course cutting the cake and opening a few gifts. It was a perfect day for a perfect wedding. Congrats to my sister Johanna and my new brother in law Justin, you were always apart of the family now its official. We love you!! And may you guys be blessed with more wonderful years to come!!

4th of July :)

Today was an amazing 4th of July! Much better than last year. Even though Chris had to work we were still able to spend some time together. We first woke up and went to the Clearfield parade like we do every year. Then after that we went to the Kaysville park to do their bounce thing and the booths there and even though it was rainy for the first part there it was still fun! The rain was so refreshing though. I got to see all my sisters there and my brothers and brother in laws that it was as it was an all fun family event. Then after that we went to my friend Aubrey's sister in law's house and had a BBQ there and also got to meet her adorable daughter Tessa for the first time so that was just an added  bonus. The funny story behind that was I was at Maverick the other day and the lady in front of me turns to me and tells me that she knows me she then ask me if my name is Jackie and I kinda felt strange at this point. To make a long story short she tells me that she is Aubrey's sister in law and invited me to her house to see Aubrey. I thought that was so nice of her. She didn't even have to do that. But Rocky had so much fun at her house playing with all the kids and I enjoy spending time with Aubrey and her family. Then I had to pick up Chris from work and we all went to my in laws house and shot off fireworks and watched the Clearfield fireworks there like we do every year. Its so nice to say my in laws house instead of our house....lol! I am so glad that the 4th of July was on a Monday so we can only celebrate it one day. Last year was so hectic and busy for us, it was also a time for change. A good change! We are doing really good for ourselves and I feel really really blessed for everything in our lives!! Happy Birthday America!!

A Kindergarten Graduation and A move!

Well its official! Rocky is no longer a kindergarten, he graduated on June 1st 2011. I am so proud of my little guy! He got an award for perfect attendance because he didn't miss one day! He is like his mommy in that way because I had perfect attendance in Junior high and High school.

This is his kindergarten class sitting and listening to their teacher Mrs. Buhler reading a book to them. All her books have a lesson and this lesson was about moving on and being whoever you want to be. She was such a great teacher and we are going to miss her. I guess she is not going to go back to Vae View. She has a few interviews so she doesn't know where she is going yet. We gave her a plant and a card to thank her for being such a wonderful teacher. I hope Rocky is lucky next year with another great teacher.

We also moved!! YEAH!! We finally moved out my in laws and into our own apartment. We love it! Its perfect for us! Its not too far away from Rocky's school so he can still go to the same school. After a long and tiring process of looking and looking for several apartments and getting denied we finally found one. I guess we found one that was right for our family.

It was funny because Friday the 27th of May was the day we went and looked at this apartment and sign the application. And to me I wasn't promising anything because we had bad news before so I wasn't keeping my hopes up at this point but we went to Lucky China that day and this was my fortune: "Lady Luck Will Soon Visit You" and then the next day we got the call that the apartment was ours. Isn't that so cool that my fortune actually came true. I am for sure going to keep this fortune forever because I know it brought us good luck! I am so blessed to have a healthy family and also feel blessed that we found this place to call our own. God really answered our prayers. I am also grateful that we did it all on our own with no help. We found an apartment that we can afford and we are really doing great for ourselves, I couldn't ask for more.
