Park City!

We went to Park City for my birthday weekend, which was October 23th. We only spent a night there but it was so worth it. Me, Chris, Chris' parents, Trena (Chris' sister) and her husband Shane and her son Aaron, Chris grandparents, Aunt Elise, Aunt Annette and her family, and Uncle Quin and his family was all that came down and spent some family time together. It was nice to get away for my birthday and it was also nice being with the family. We had so much fun there we didn't want to come back. We are definitely going to go back. Chris grandparents own some of the buildings there and they said whenever we want to go up there we can and we can just call them up and tell them when.
Some of the view from our room!

Some of our room. It looked more like an apartment
There is Brody in the door way

Chris and the boys in the pool. I couldn't join them
because I was on my time of month :(

When we first got there we had to stay in Grandma and Grandpa's room because our room wasn't quite ready yet. So we just sat and talk and Grandpa gave us a tour around the building. Annette and her family and Aunt Elise were already there because they got there earlier in the week so they were sitting down playing a game when we got there. We also had dinner in their room before we got to our room. When we finally got to our room we got settled in and decided take the boys to the game room so they could play for a little bit then after that everyone went swimming. I felt bad because I couldn't go swimming but I enjoyed watching them. Then after that we all did our own thing. Chris went and played a little pool with the guys and when he got back I went and hung out with Aunt Elise and we had a really good game of ping pong. That was one crazy night with all of us sleeping in one area. Me and Chris slept out on the big pull out couch, Rocky slept on an air mattress, Trena and Shane slept on a pull out bed from the kitchen table, Aaron slept out on the pull out small couch and Brody slept in a play pen. The only ones that really got a comfy bed was mom and dad. We all slept ok. The boys were so good the whole time we were there, I was so proud of them. Brody slept the best out of everyone and I was really surprised because that was his first time not sleeping in his crib. Trena was so worried that one of our boys would be the ones snoring but her son was the noisy one....lol Don't worry the other family members either went home because there were there for a while or they had their own rooms so it was only us in that one room that I mentioned. Overall it was a great time with the family, can't wait to do it again!!

Happy Halloween 2010

This Halloween was a busy one. On Friday we went to A Monster Bash at Central Davis Jr. High. They had carnival there, blow up bounce houses and refreshments and it was all free. I haven't been there in a long time. I went to school there, so it was nice to come back for a little bit. Then on Saturday we went to Toys R. Us for their Halloween thing, went to my work Halloween party and then we went to Trunk or Treat and then we went to the mall. It was so wet and cold that we didn't go door to door this year because by the time we were done with the mall the kids were tired and so were the parents...lol And plus I didn't take little kids out when it was so cold. We all had fun this year and I can't wait for next year.

Its that time again for an update!

Well things are started to look up for us. I got a job at this place called Western Wats. I started yesterday. Western Wats is a call center that does Telephone surveys on the phone. I just read surveys on the computer and ask for that certain person's opinion. We are not a telemarketing company because we never sale anything. Its a really easy job, a lot of talking though. I had some really nice people on the phone last night. I think I am going to like this job. It was easy for me to get. After more than a year of searching and trying to find a job I finally found one and it wasn't even hard to get. Its amazing how the simplest jobs you can get like that. I am very thankful to finally have a job and be able to support my family.

Chris kinda has a job lined up too. He is doing some graphic design work for one of my friends. My friend George runs this Vintage Travel business and needs someone to design the ads. Chris is very good at that. We have been searching for a long time to get a job in a field that we went to school for but no one would hire us because we didn't have 2-4 years of experience so with Chris doing this it will help him get some experience. George is going to pay a good sum of money to do these ads and then go from there and see what more he can do. I have a feeling that things are going to be good for us. It just seems like since he got this job working for George people been asking Chris to do graphic design work from left to right and we are very thankful for that. Maybe this is the time for me to go to work and for Chris to stay home with the kids and work on his career. I am glad things are finally looking up for us.

Rocky is loving kindergarten. He is so excited to go to school everyday. He is learning so much and we can already see that. His brother misses him but he knows that Rocky will always come back home. I am glad that Rocky is loving school and doing so well in it.

Brody is getting smarter and smarter everyday. He is learning new words everyday. Its amazing how much he is learning just off of his big brother. I can't believe he is going to be 2 in December. They grow up so fast! I am so proud of both my boys for doing so well in life already. I hope they continued to do well and become the best adults they can be.

I want to thank everyone that stood by our side and supported us through everything. We couldn't of made it without our family and friends. I know we could of made it through because we are a strong family and nothing is going to tear us apart.

Rocky's first day of school

Even though school doesn't officially start until the 30th Rocky's school the Vae View Mustangs have this early start Kindergarten that starts today and ends on the 27th. I thought it was a great idea. Rocky did awesome! They had the kids in a separate room and the parents in a separate room for orientation. It didn't even phase him that I wasn't in the same room with him. He took it better than I did. I think he is going to do awesome with it.

Rocky on his first day. He really didn't want to get his picture taken and its not a really good picture.

Our first time in a parade

We had a opportunity to be in our parade. Chris' grandpa Art has this 1950 Ford Green Truck that he rebuilt and he asked us to be in it for the Clinton Heritage Days. It was a great time! We all had fun and the boys were so well behaved. This is something that the boys will remember forever! I am glad we had the chance to do it. Thanks Grandpa Art and Grandma Merilyn for giving us a chance to ride in a parade!

Us in the back of the truck before heading out!

4th of July weekend festives/Update

The one thing that I don't like about Utah is that if there is a holiday that is on a Sunday they have to change it to a different day. The only good thing about the 4th of July this year was we were able to spend it all weekend because different cities were having it different days. My thought on a holiday on Sunday is if no one wants to spend the holiday on a Sunday then they shouldn't but leave the holiday alone.

This was the first 4th of July in years that Chris was able to spend it with us. Due to circumstances. We started to 4th of July festives on Saturday. We woke up early and went to the Clearfield Parade. Clearfield always throws the best parades. Then we went to the Kaysville park and looked around there because the Fisher park in Clearfield wasn't doing anything until later on that day. Then after that we went to Chris' parents and had a BBQ and watched the fireworks in their backyard. It was a fun time with family and friends. I was so blessed to have my sister there with her family so it was great.

On Sunday we went to two BBQ's and went to our friend Luke's parents house and watched him light fireworks. No cities were doing anything on Sunday so we decided to have our own 4th of July because its still the 4th and you can't have the 4th without fireworks. We don't care if a holiday is on a Sunday we will celebrate it anyways because we want our kids to have the best time of every holiday.

Then yesterday; Monday we went to the Layton Parade and it was ok. Clearfield's was better. The Layton Parade wasn't even an hour long. Then we weren't doing much for that day because we were already practically burnt out by the time Monday came around. We tried to go to the Layton Fireworks later on in the day but that wasn't going to happen. It was complete meyham in Layton. I couldn't believe it! It was like the whole state was in Layton. We couldn't find a parking spot because they had the road blocked off by the library and Layton High school. Everywhere we turned we either saw a car or a person in the streets. See this is what happens when Layton is the only city that waits until Monday to celebrate the 4th. That made me so mad because everyone wanted to go to the Layton Fireworks. We were so frusterated that we ended up going to my mom's and watching them from there. We could barely see them but they were better than nothing. All in all it was a great and busy weekend. Constantly going. I was trying to make the best of it because we didn't know when Chris was going to have another 4th of July off so I wanted to have a lot of fun while we had the chance together.

Chris lost his job on Thursday. It was a worst time, right before the 4th. They fired him for something completly stupid. They have been trying to get rid of him for a while so in a way we weren't surprised but at the same time no one wants to hear those words. It was like a punch in the stomach when I heard it. The reason why they fired him was about a game system. A customer came in a few weeks ago and traded in a XBOX and when someone trades in a game system you have to enter in the serial number in the computer to show that it came in. Well Chris did that and they said that he didn't. He was suppose to get it off the game system itself but he got it off the box because he couldn't find it on the game system itself so they fired him for that. It really sucks because now his boss left a bitter taste in my mouth and all I want to do is go there and beat the crap out of her but that isn't going to change anything. We feel like it was a blessing in diguise because he was really hating his job because it seemed like whatever he was doing wasn't good enough for her. He got his last check on Friday and we paid some bills so we will be ok for a month. He filed for unemployment and there is a good chance he will get that. We just have to take it a day at a time. I am very proud of my husband though, he is trying to stay positive and he is enjoying the time with his family. Its nice for him to be home because when he was working we weren't spending a lot of time together. I want to thank everyone that has been supporting us and being there for us through this tough time, I know we can make it, we have a lot of good people on our side. Hopefully he can find a job soon.
