Christmas 2012

This Christmas was a little bit different. I wanted a different feeling this Christmas. Maybe because we had a little girl and it was her first Christmas. I didn't take very many pictures because the day was so busy. But the few I did I will post. On Christmas Eve we went to a Christmas Celebration at my sister Jordan's church. Its called Christian Life Center. It was something different and I really enjoyed it. I felt the spirit there. And I was so thankful that everyone welcomed us there. My dad came in on Christmas Eve and I was suppose to pick him up that morning but the unexpected happened. We were noticing that our tire kept getting flat the past couple of days and I blew it up before we headed on the freeway that day thinking I was going to be ok to go get him and then come back and then go to Discount Tires but I was wrong. My tire ended up getting flat again. After what happened to me on the freeway and also going to the Christmas Celebration made me realize that God is really there in everything we do. I know he was there with me on the freeway. I was so thankful for the highway patrol and family that day. I don't know what would of happened if both of them wasn't there. To make a long story short we found out there was two holes in our tire and was able to replace it with a new one. Someone was looking down on me and my children that day, I truly believe that. On Christmas morning we opened our presents from each other and then from my dad.
Our tree Christmas morning

Brody opening one of his favorite gifts

Rocky opening his batmobile
Sienna opening her pack and play that I have always wanted for my kids
After we opened gifts at our house we went to Chris' parents and opened gifts there and had lunch. It seemed like all the family was there and I was happy to see all of them. I am glad that I was able to pass out family pictures to everyone. Then we went back to our house and my family came over to open gifts and have dinner. It was my first time hosting Christmas dinner at my house and I think it went really well with the the help of my father. Thank you dad for everything!! It seemed like it was never ending of present opening. I think my children had a better Christmas than me and that is ok to me. They are the more important ones. They all got everything they wanted and that is all that matters to me. I am just thankful that we got to spend the whole day with all the family. Being with family and enjoying each other company and celebrating Christ's birthday is the true meaning of Christmas. We even had cake for dessert for his birthday. I think it was appropriate dessert for Christmas. :) I hope everyone had a great Christmas!!

Brody and Sienna's checkups

Both the kids are doing great! Both growing healthy and looking great. Both did very well for Dr. Nye. Brody weighs 36.4 55% and his height is 41 inches 66%. He is also being such a great big boy these past few months. He let Dr. Nye look over him and everything. My mom was concerned about his sight so we got it check but he wasn't being cooperating. Dr. Nye said that he is just probably developing differently. Brody doesn't have to get shots until next year. Sienna weighs 14 pounds and 13.5 ounces 27% and her height is 26.25 72%. Her misshaping head is improving so that is good, seems like we are doing a good job there we just have to keep it up. She got shots of course. Don't have to see her until 9 months. Proud of both my kids!!

Brody's 4th birthday party!

We had his birthday party at Nicklecade this year and it was a football theme but it looked like it ended up being a hulk theme because he got a hulk action figure, hulk gloves and a hulk mask. He has been into Hulk a lot lately. He likes how he smashes things and he is strong and green. It was a great birthday. Everyone had a great time!!
Most of the guests
I made a cool football cake. Brody loved it!
It was me, Chris, Rocky, Sienna, Nana and Papa, Trena and Aaron, Johanna and her family, Jordan and her family, Taylor and the boys, Nana Heckert, Uncle Justin, Cousin John and Olivia and Uncle Kenny.
He got some really good presents. Everything he wanted!! I am so happy the way it turned out and thank you to everyone that came!! He doesn't actually turn 4 until Tuesday. He is growing up so fast and he is so smart too. He has a lot of energy and one of a kind!

She is growing really well! She is developing very well!! She weighs 13 pounds and 8 oz 46% and she is 24.25 inches long 50%. She did really good for Dr. Nye. She got shots but only cried a little bit. Her head is a little bit flat on one side but she young enough that we can correct it. So going to switch her on the sides of her crib and have her get more belly time. I hope it works! I know she doesn't stay on her belly for long because she loves to roll over!! She is growing up to be such a beautiful sweet baby girl. I feel so blessed!

Sienna's first 4th of July!!

Sienna's first holiday! All Festive!!

Happy 4th of July from all my kids! Love them all!!
The first thing we did was go to the Clearfield Parade like we do every year. I don't know but I think the Clearfield parade is startung to suck also. It wasn't even an hour long. I kinda want to try out the Kaysville Parade and I think we are next year. Chris was off on the 4th so we were able to spend all together so it was nice.

Then we went to the Kaysville Park and did the free bounce houses like we do every year. It seems like we do the same things every year but there is nothing wrong with that. Its called tradition and everyone needs traditions. They also had free games there, see you can still have fun with no money you just have to find it.

We then went to Chris' parents for a BBQ and to watch fireworks. We didn't stay for the Clearfield fireworks because Sienna was ready to go home but you got to expect that from a newborn. At least we got to see the ones that Trena bought. I would say it was one successful 4th! The boys had fun and all the kids were good and that is all that natters. It was just nice to spend some family tine together.

Sienna Jeanne Harmon is here!!

Sienna Jeanne arrived in this world June 13th 2012 at 1:30 pm weighing 7 pounds even and 20 and a half inches long. The thing is she weighed the same as Rocky and only a half an inch difference. Another thing Rocky was born at 1:32am so very similar in everything. I think she looks like all of us. She has Brody's chin, she looks a little bit like Rocky and daddy and has some of me in her. I thought she would have a little bit of mixture of all us and she does. I am just glad that she is finally here!!
I went to what I thought was my last doctor appointment on June 12th having an open mind. I was hoping I would of been a 4 or 5 and be admitted to the hospital right away but that didn't happen. I was dilated to a 3 and 70% thinned out. I am not surprised that I wasn't too far dilated because I wasn't having regular contractions between the appointment before and the last appointment and plus with my history I knew I wasn't going to go on my own. Craig Hurst suggested to call the hospital and see when was the next available time I can be induced because I was about done and wanted to meet my little girl. He popped my water about 7:45am on June 13th it took him a while to pop it so I knew for sure I wasn't going to go on my own and started my pitochin around 8:30 I believe, I don't know the exact time. Everybody wants to know how I went natural so I am going to include it in Sienna's story. When I have a contraction I don't concentrate on the pain I concentrate only on my breathing. I have a focus point whatever that is and concentrate on that and tune everyone out when I have a contraction. The pain doesn't seem to bad when you don't pay attention to the pain and only the breathing. I believe when you are calm and you don't freak out and you relax than you can have quick labor and deliveries. Us women were met to give birth naturally. I see it this way a contraction only lasted for a min and anyone can make it through a minute of pain. When my labor first starts out I don't have very intense contractions but when I get further in my labor I have more intense contractions. I can always tell when I am about to push because I start getting very uncomfortable and start having a lot of pressure. I had them check me every hour. The nurse checked me at 12:30 and I was dilated to 5 or 6 and then Craig Hurst came in and checked me at 1 and I was dilated to a 7. Within 15 mins I felt like I needed to push and I was fully dilated. It took Craig Hurst 5 mins to get there but it seemed forever!! I felt like I needed to push so bad and they were taking forever to get everything set up. Its kinda hard not to push when you have the urge to push that is why I look so emotional in this picture because I needed to push and I knew that I was about to meet my beautiful little girl. It took me about 5 mins to push her out and it was amazing!! I was only in labor for 5 hours.
When I go natural I feel like I am in control and I know what to expect and I like that feeling. When I was in labor with Rocky I got the epidural when I was dilated to a 6. I believe I could of went all the way naturally but when its your first child you don't know what to expect. When I was in labor with him I didn't feel anything and I didn't feel like I was in control and I hated that. When I was getting off the epidural I was shaking so bad. That is why I decided to go natural with my other children because I didn't want to ever feel that way again. Going naturally is not for everyone but I rather go natural than have the epidural any day. Plus when you go natural you have a faster recovery time. Craig Hurst and the nurse was so impressed with me because I did so well. Right after I had Sienna I almost gave a couple of nurses a heart attack because I literally jumped off the bed and was walking around.
I feel so blessed and thankful for all the well wishes from friends and family. I feel so thankful for my little girl. I am so thankful that I had a great labor and delivery and that me and Sienna are both healthy and doing well. I also feel so blessed that so many people love Sienna and our family. I am so proud to be a family of five!!

Almost there!

Today I went to my 36 week appointment and everything looks good. We were really surprised about all the news we got. Sienna is now 6 and a half pounds and the placenta and fluid around her looks good. She was sucking on her hand the whole time. She looks like she is going to be a cutie. There was one point in the ultrasound where her thigh was up in my ribs which I am not surprised in because she is always up there. While the doctor was checking my cervix he was saying that she is really low. I am dilated 1 and a half and 60% effaced. Its crazy!! I shouldn't be surprised because its my third child and she might come quicker than my other two. This is definitely a different pregnancy because she is even going to be bigger than my boys. I am just very anxious, excited, and nervous and everywhere in between to meet my little girl. I don't think its going to really hit me that I am having a girl until she is here!! Can't wait to meet her!! Now I see the doctor every week now.

36 weeks!

Rocky is 7!

The birthday boy!

Rocky turned 7 today!! He is such a wonderful kid. He wants to be a race car driver when he grows up. He is a really friendly guy and is friends with everyone. Every time I go pick him up at school he has tons of kids saying bye to him and giving him hi fives! He is a great big brother even though sometimes he likes to be left alone but who doesn't. He looks and acts like his daddy and becoming more and more like him everyday. He is the peacemaker and hates when kids are mean to each other. He always cracks us up and the things he comes up with are so hilarious!! I am so proud to call him my son!! I couldn't imagine life without him.

Today for his birthday we went and saw the Avengers and went out to dinner. Just some family time. He said that he had a great time. It was also a great movie!

Yesterday we had his birthday party at Mcdonalds because that is where he wanted it at.
It was an Alvin and the Chipmunks theme!
The party went really smoothly, it was short and to the point...lol

All the people that love Rocky came to his party including me, Chris, Brody, Nana, Uncle Justin, Nana and Papa, Jordan and her family, Johanna and her family, Trena and her family, John and Olivia and Taylor and the boys. He invited a couple of friends but they didn't come but that is ok, it had the right amount of people there. Happy Birthday to my big boy we love you!!

Happy Easter!!

This year we only went to one Easter egg hunt. I think last year we went to a few. At first it was hard to find a place that was doing an Easter egg hunt because not a lot of places were doing it this year. We knew for sure that we didn't want to go to the Clearfield one because that one was a joke last year, last year Brody didn't get any eggs and Rocky only got a few because the parents got involved when it was only for the kids. This year we went to a Lutheran Church by my mom's, I think we go to that place every year. They are so friendly and the environment is really calm. The boys had a blast there!

Rocky won an easter basket there!

And they had real life bunnies there! So who cares if they didn't see the other easter bunny

Then after the easter egg hunt at the church we went home and dye some eggs.

Then on Easter Sunday the boys woke up and saw what the Easter bunny left them.

And then they had two easter egg hunts at home. One inside and one outside. I was so glad that it was so nice this year.

Then after that we went to Nana and papa's and had a Easter egg hunt there and had lunch.
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!

Remember what Easter is about! Its about spending time with your love ones and praising the lord for all that he does for us. We have a lot to be thankful for this year!!

8 Year Anniversary

Me and Chris have been married for 8 years on Valentine's. I can't believe its been 8 years. We have had our up's and down's but we have always made it through them and its all because of our strong love and our support for one another. We have two wonderful boys to show for it and a little girl on the way in June. I couldn't be more happier. We are finally doing good for ourselves. We are finally financially stable and it feels good.
We didn't do anything on Valentine's but give each other our presents. We had a little scavenger hunt to find our presents and it was really fun. I gave Chris a NFL coin showing the 49ers championship in the NFC west and he really loved it. He said it was the best gift that anyone ever gave him. That made me feel good. I was kinda iffy on if he was going to like it, I guess it was a right choice. And then Chris edit and put our wedding video on DVD and we sat down together and watched that and relived some memories. Everyone looked so young in it. We also got the boys' bunk bed together on Valentine's, well Chris did and I think it was a great investment.

Then today we went on our date to Olive Garden and went and saw The Vow. I was teary eyed the whole time I even bailed at some parts. It was a really good date night. I like spending time alone with Chris and with two kids and another one on the way we try to spend as much alone time as we can. I am looking forward to more years with each other. On our 10 year anniversary we are going to renew our vows and I am looking forward to that. We are going to have everyone there to witness our growing love for each other. We are thinking about doing it in Vegas but during the Spring or Summer so its much nicer but I think we will go more into planning when it gets closer. Here to many years to come!!
